Terms & Conditions

If every house was the same, quoting for solar or air-conditioning products would be simple. Most people don’t realise the complexities involved in properly quoting a solar or air-conditioning installation. There are many variables, in the case of solar, variables include your roof pitch, if roof materials are tin, clip lock, tile or slate, your homes orientation, the number of levels on your house and the type of meter box you have to name a few. In the case of air-conditioning, variables include the size the area for cooling/heating, split system or ducted, how many rooms, nearby electricity cabling, location for Condensor VS where the Head Unit will be located and so on and so forth.  Therefore, your solar or air-conditioning installation could cost more, so when you’re looking for a price on solar or air-conditioning, remember that the price you’re seeing is most likely a price for a “standard installation” – in other words, a house that has the following characteristics:

Solar PV Installation

  • Tin Roof
  • Single Storey
  • All panels fit on one side of the roof
  • Max roof pitch of 22 degrees
  • DC cable run (ie. from panels to inverter) no greater than 10m
  • AC cable run (ie. from inverter to meter box) no greater than 1m
  • Complying meter box

Split System Air Conditioning

  • Same wall in back to back installation
  • Is home a brick or timber cladding to determine ease of pipework penetrations
  • Head Unit can be mounted without obstruction and penetration through wall for pipework
  • Will a condensation pump be required
  • Easy unrestricted access to electrical cabling within 1.5M
  • No additional wiring to install an independent breaker in meter box
  • Existing concrete base to locate the compressor
  • Suitable council approved drainage point within 1m of pipework

So the moral of the story is, if you see a great deal on solar or air-conditioning on our website or social media pages that differs from the quote you receive from us, it will most likely be because your house doesn’t meet the requirements of a standard installation and therefore more materials and labour are needed to complete the installation.
